Professional strobe tuner for web, tablet, and mobile. Your microphone feeds a rotating disc — when the pattern locks still, you're in tune. Built by luthier David Ehlers for players and builders who need precision, not guesswork.
Supports guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle with multiple tunings each. Auto mode tracks the nearest string as you play, or lock to a specific string manually.
Create custom tunings with exact Hz targets per string — useful for alternate tunings, scordatura, or period instruments. The strobe measures deviation from your defined frequencies.
Select a temperament — Equal, Just, Pythagorean, Meantone, Werckmeister, or Young II — to shift all string targets accordingly. Apply stretch compensation to correct for string inharmonicity on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, or ukulele.
Use Precision to dial in your A4 reference, tolerance, and response speed. Choose from five tuned pitch detection algorithms — Autocorrelation, YIN, MPM, AMDF, and Cepstrum — optimized for different instruments and playing styles. Tap the play button next to any string to hear its reference tone.
New: Share your instrument setup with clients via read-only links. In Luthier Mode, capture full intonation data, attach photos, and generate shareable snapshots — all synced to the cloud.

The strobe disc rotates based on the difference between your pitch and the target. Counterclockwise (↺) means flat — tune up. Clockwise (↻) means sharp — tune down. When the pattern locks still, you're in tune.
